Single Malt Whisky Batch #3 (500ml)

$195.00

LIMITED EDITION

After the success of Batch #1 being Best Spirit in WA according to WA Good Food Guide, Batch #2 selling out early, it is now time for Batch #3 Single Malt Whisky to shine. It is blend of 3 barrels, 2 that previously held Spanish Port and one the good ole Hilton built from the carcas of a 500L red wine barrel. There was a mid-aging seasoning with Port that has definitely enhanced the flavour. My own personal opinion is that this whisky is the best to date and I am really loving a wee glass of an evening, straight up, no ice. The ABV has been increased from the previous batches to 45%, it made all the difference increasing from 43% to 45%.

The tasting notes are a fruity apple and nutmeg followed by apricot and raisin and finishing with vanila and caramel. A word of warning though, resist having another one, no matter how much you want, and you will; it is responsible to drink less.

Single Malt Whisky Batch #2 Profile

Fun fact

Due to troubles with cracking of the sealing wax on Batch #1, I have formulated my own wax for Batch #2 and a new colour (almost black but ambiguously not, with a hint of translucent red). I call it Burnt Copper; you won’t find it anywhere else.

A note from the maker…

Almost all of the 137 bottles from Batch #1 were sold; I kept 7 for myself and for the historical record. This time around there are 180 bottles - another very limited release, and of course I will keep a few for history. I know you will like Batch #2, it really is easy to drink, tasty and smooth.
